Take the time to wire brush all the rust and rough spots out of the inside of the wheels when you make the swap. Once cleaned up, I put a loop of Gorilla Tape around the inside to add a "cheap insurance" layer between the tube and interior wheel rivet heads. With the new shoes on the front, we're back in business without having to babysit random tire pressure drops.
